My journey began in Geneva, Switzerland. It includes stops in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, India, Indonesia, Australia, the Philippines, China, and Japan. I will then cross the northern Pacific to Alaska, continue through Canada and the USA, and finally head to South America and Antarctica.
I am flying a modified four-seater Cessna 182, with the rear seats removed to accommodate an additional fuel tank. I can stay airborne for up to 17 hours at a cruising speed of 140-150 knots. I have a satellite connection to my ground team and three emergency locator transmitters on board.
